Due to continued increase in demand from members of the Serbian community for aged care, St Simeon Village, which is aligned to the Serbian Orthodox Parish of St Arch. Stephen in Rooty Hill, will extend its current facilities, bringing the number of rooms available from 41 to 51 rooms. Currently, over 80% of residents at St Simeon Village are of Serbian background.
"St. Simeon Village" is a government-accredited aged care facility and approval for 10 additional bed licences has been obtained from Department of Health and Aging. The scope of building works for the extension was put to tender and we are pleased to announce that the successful tender was received from GMP Pty Ltd.
The contract has been signed for a fixed price of $1.080 million (inclusive of GST) for the 360 square metre, 10 room, extension. Completion is scheduled for 30/06/2011.
